Khilafat Movement was the first ever Movement of masses against their Rulers.Though the issue was some sort of “imported issue’and Leaders of both Hindu and Muslim communities failed to make it a movement of the country by the country and for the country but,the Khilafat Tahreek on the one hand gave Rulers very tough time and paved way for political awarenes at gross roots level on the other hand.Though it remained a popular movement through out its life but,what the Leaders sow it was reaped by Muslim League.Religious-oriented political movement made the people to be diverted to Muslim League and this party avail opportunity during Masjid Manzilgah Restoration movement.With the result that majority of Sindhi Muslim leaders supported the Manzilgah issue.Khilafat Tahreek set stage for unwanted trends in the future politics such as Migration to Afghanistan by Khilafatis during “Hijrat Tahreek’inspired countless people to migrate to Sindh soon after partition of the United India.Very outstanding political contribution of the Sindh Khilafat committee is the demand for the full and complete independence Of the country.in this connection a Resolution was passed in the “Chak Khilafat Conference” held on 28th Sept 1922.
